Asseyri Prison of Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has said that the renovation work on the units of Asseyri Prison is progressing well.
The Prison has informed that the fence in front of the Unit 01 has been completed while a huge part of the wall between Asseyri Prison and Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre have been completed.
The renovation work is being carried out by inmates of Asseyri Prison and some Prison Officers.
In addition to the renovation work, work is also in progress to construct a prayer room and mess room for inmates within the industrial zone.
