Maldives Correctional Service has yesterday held a perimeter-clearing event at Asseyri Prison.
The event was held from 8:30 am till 12pm and included cutting down of smaller trees and low-hanging branches within the perimeter of Asseyri Prison.
The event was carried out by several officers of Asseyri Prison as well as some inmates.
The Deputy Director of Asseyri Prison Chief Prisons Officer Ahmed Jadulla said the event went on with high energy and good spirits. He also thanked the prison officers, inmates and all parties involved with the project for their contribution.
