Maldives Correctional Service has participated in the “kurama kurama saaf kurama” campaign organised by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) today to clean Hulhumale.
The Campaign was carried out from 8 am to 12 pm under the supervision of HDC’s Municipal Section. The clean-up was carried out from bus stations to the beach area on the eastern side of Hulhumale.
In addition to MCS, other government institutions, schools, associations and Hulhumale residents took part in the clean-up.
Maldives Correctional Service places great importance in participation of community activities and as such has participated in several such campaigns over the past year.
Maldives Correctional Service has also conducted several community activities under “Fehivehi, including the planting of a record number of 13000 trees during the Hulhumale Phase 2 development.
