Commissioner of Prisons Mohamed Husham has attended the closing ceremony of the “Certificate in Human Development Plan Towards Inmates” training programme conducted under Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP).
The training programme is offered to Maldives Correctional Service by Correctional Academy of Malaysia Langkawi under MTCP and is held from 01st to 25th September 2015 in Malaysia.
The four officers from Maldives Correctional Service who participated in the programme are Superintendent of Prisons Mohamed Shaheen Ali, Chief Prisons Officer Ibrahim Afeef, Chief Prisons Officer Ahmed Jadulla and Chief Prisons Ismail Naseer.
The programme provides the opportunity for the participants to gain knowledge of prison systems and management as well as gain exposure to rehabilitation programmes among participating countries. The participants had also visited Malaysian Prisons to gain first-hand knowledge of their rehabilitative programmes.
