Asseyri Prison of the Maldives Correctional Service (MCS), located in K. Himmafushi, has completed the assembly of 130 desks for Himmafushi School in preparation for the upcoming new academic year.
The construction and assembly of these desks were carried out through the collaborative efforts of the prison officers and the inmates of Asseyri Prison.
This initiative was undertaken as a voluntary community service project. While the labor was provided by the Prison, the essential materials required for the project were supplied by Himmafushi School.
Such programs are designed to contribute positively to the rehabilitation of inmates and to provide them with opportunities to enhance their vocational skills.
