Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has commenced the “Training of Trainers” Programme on Enhancing Training Skill and Knowledge to Create Effective Learning Experiences for Correctional Officers on 2nd October 2022.
Participants of the five-day training include 19 prison officers and civil officers from all prisons and Head Office.
The purpose of conducting the programme is to further strengthened the rehabilitation programmes currently being conducted at prisons and to train trainers who will train prison officers active in conducting rehabilitation programmes.
The training programme included teaching skills on how to conduct drug awareness sessions and other training sessions. The training was facilitated by the Global Drug Demand Reduction Master Trainer Mr Ali Adheeb from the NGO Journey.
