Conditioning and Mentoring with inter-personal skills workshop was held at Maafushi Prison and Hulhumale Prison, last week.
The program targeting officers working as supervisors and section heads was held to improve the skills of the officers and to aware these officers to the United Nation Minimum rule.
Throughout the workshop, officers were taught to understand the behaviors of inmates, to stay away from illegal offers from inmates, solve issues productively, as well as better communication skills while dealing with inmates.
Moreover, they were also taught the rules of Mandela and how to apply it in the prisons.
The workshop was carried out by the Malaysian Consultant Adina Raina R Subramanian.
