Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner have been appointed to Department of Penitentiary and Rehabilitation Services (DPRS).Ahmed Shihan, who previously held the post of Director General of DPRS has been appointed as the new Commissioner; while Mohamed Asif has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner.
The new posts were appointed during the ceremony held at Iskandhar Koshi last night to celebrate 41st anniversary of DPRS. DPRS officers were also given promotions during the ceremony.
The ceremony was also joined by Minister of Home Affairs Dr Mohamed Jameel Ahmed, Minister of State for Home Affairs Deputy Commissioner of Police (retired) Mohamed Fayaz and DPRS Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Shihan and Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Mohamed Asif as well as a large number of officers and civil staff of DPRS.
