An inmate serving time at Maafushi Prison has passed away tonight.
The inmate who passed away was 30-year-old Ahmed Irushad of H. Redhan.
As per the doctor, Irushad was pronounced dead after his heart stopped beating.
He had been serving a 25-year sentence for a drug-related offence.
