Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has made a donation to the fund set up by Himmafushi Council under the slogan “Maldivians are with Rohingya Muslims” to provide aid for the Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar.
The fund box set up by MCS today received MVR 8220.14 (eight thousand two hundred and twenty rufiyaa fourteen laari) by 1830 hours and was handed over to Himmafushi Council.
The fund box was also set up at the Himmafushi Football grounds during today’s match of PRC Football Tournament.
MCS participates in many community activities organised by the Himmafushi Council.
Maldives Correctional Service always views the residents of the islands with MCS prisons as neighbours.
