The 8th of March of every year is a day on which is celebrated globally to celebrate every role of women, stop violence against women and fight for their rights and to provide equal opportunities for women.
In line with the above, Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) today celebrated Women’s Day colourfully at the Head Office.
All male employees had bestowed a gift and a rose with a card to all female employees and organised a special breakfast for all.
The purpose of the colourful celebration was to show appreciation for the hardworking female prison and civil officers and to motivate them.
Maldives Correctional Service continues to organise such events to foster good relations and unity among prison and civil officers.
