A prisoner has today escaped while being transported to Male’ Prison for the first time.
The prisoner, Mohamed Hamza of V. Medaljehige had escaped around 5:00 pm today. He was convicted for four months and 24 days for disobeying a court ruling.
Maldives Correctional Service requests anyone with information regarding the escaped prisoner to call Maldives Police Service at 3322111 without any delay.
