The road leading to the Asseyri Prison of Maldives Correctional Service has today been cleaned up by the Prison’s officers.
The clean-up started at 9am included and several prison officers had cleaned Janavaree Magu starting from the end of the settlement area leading to the Asseyri Prison. The officers had pulled up the weeds and grass growing on the road and leveled the pot holes by filling it with sand.
The cleaned area is approximately 30 feet wide and 3500 feet long.
Director of Asseyri Prison, Assistant Superintendent of Prisons Mohamed Hussain said the cleaning was carried out in full spirit and enthusiasm, and thanked all the Prison Officers and all parties involved for their contribution.
