MCS Team leaves for Malaysia to participate in Law Enforcement ‎Training ‎

A 10-officer Team from Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has left for Malaysia last night to take part in Law Enforcement Training.

The training programme is scheduled for from 14th to 20th August 2016 and is organized by Malaysia Prison Department especially for institutions in law enforcement.

Malaysia’s Commissioner General of Prison Dato Sri Haji Zulkifli Bin Omar had paid a visit to Maldives last May and met with his Maldivian counter-part, Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Shihan and discussed about the continued training opportunities provided for the prison officers of Maldives Correctional Service by Malaysia Prison Department as well as focusing specific training areas.

Such trainings are crucial to the improvement of skills of officers of Maldives Correctional Service day by day. Maldives Correctional Service continues to work greatly to ensure that prison officers are fully-trained to execute their responsibilities.
