Escort Team of Male’ Prison has held “Escort Night 2016” at Male’ Prison last night.
The purpose of the “Escort Night” is to highlight and appreciate the hard work of Escort Team as well as to build solidarity and camaraderie among team members. This is the first time “Escort Night” is being celebrated.
The Escort Night’s chief guest was Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal.
The Night’s events include the awarding of certificates, cup, medals and cash prize to the winning team, runner-up team and second runner-up team of the “Escort Challenge Cup 2015” football tournament and announcement of the upcoming events for the year 2016. “Escort Challenge Cup 2016” is to be held in October.
Refresher training sessions are also to be organised for officers in order to keep them physically fit and healthy as well as maintain their capability to execute their duties well. Officers from different departments of Male’ Prison are also to be included in the refresher training sessions.
In addition to the Deputy Commissioner of Prison Hassan Zilaal, the Escort Night was attended by commissioned officers and prison officers of senior ranks.
