University preparation program targetting prison officers has begun at Maafushi Prison yesterday.
The purpose of this program is to prepare prison officers for the upcoming Diploma in Correctional Management course organised by ICOST.
The program organised by Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST) will be carried out for 15 weeks. The program is held at Maafushi Prison Lecture Hall everyday except for Fridays from 13:30 to 15:45.
ICOST has conducted several programs targeting employees and inmates previously as well.
