Maafushi prison has held a family day to celebrate 20th Anniversary of Maafushi Prison and 11th anniversary of Emergency Support Group (ESG), today.
Today’s event was opened by the Commissioner of Prisons, ahmed Shihan, joined by Director of Maafushi Prison CPO Ahmed Riza and Commissioned Officers of Maldives Correctional Service.
The event had several activity stalls, where children had the chance to win many prizes as well as participate in other fun activities. The event was joined by numerous children and family members of MCS employees.
Maafushi Prison holds family day every year. Organizing team of the event said that such events help strengthen the bond between families, and let the families spend a quality time at the same time.
