Maafushi Prison of Maldives Correctional Service has last night held a dinner night at to celebrate the Prison’s 19th anniversary.
The chief guest of the dinner night was Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Shihan.
The dinner night was also attended by Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal, commissioned officers, senior-ranked officers and many Maafushi Prison officers and their families.
The dinner night’s events included the awarding of certificates and shields to officers for various recognitions, including to those who brought a good name to the prison. Certificates were also awarded to facilitators of Phases 1 and 2 of Rehabilitation Framework, staff and officers from Maafushi Prison, ESG and ICOST with exemplary attendance and punctuality from 01st November 2016 to 31st October 2017, staff and officers from Maafushi Prison, ESG and ICOST with 100 percent in attendance and punctuality from 01st November 2016 to 31st October 2017, those who received highest marks in physical fitness tests and staff and officers of Maafushi Prison that had worked for self-improvement. Certificates of appreciation were also given to those that had provided assistance to Maafushi Prison in various ways, while Maafushi Prison Director’s Award was also introduced at the event.
